Leota Walker Farmer, 98, of Henderson, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. Mrs. Farmer was born October 28, 1922 in Providence, KY to the late Curtis and Laura Walker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henderson and loved gardening and collecting antiques. In addition to her parents, Leota was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Farmer; son, David Glenn Farmer; daughters, Deborah Jean Farmer, Linda Rinsch and one sister, Mary Rachel Frederick. Mrs. Farmer is survived by her three daughters, Pamela Marie Mangin of Phoenix, AZ, Julia Rose Farmer of Henderson, KY, Susan Lee Day of Smith Mills, KY; sister Elizabeth Schmidt of Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Lisa Carol Inman (Donnie) of Kalispell, MT, Randy Allen Rinsch (Renee) of Oaktown, IN, Larissa Linda Rinsch of Lawrenceville, IL, Timothy Blake Mangin of Cocoa Beach, FL, Michael Blaine Mangin (Diane Stevens) of Cocoa Beach, FL, Leandra Day Hernandez (Robbie) of Newburgh, IN; three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be Saturday, June 5, 2021, 1:00 pm at Belleview United Methodist Church in Smith Mills, KY with Pastor Steve Hale officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, June 5, 2021, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the church.
