Leroy Calvin Skaggs

Leroy Calvin Skaggs, 92 of Madisonville, KY passed away on March 10, 2017 at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY. He was born in Muhlenberg County on September 10, 1924 to the late Logan and Lynnie Lyle Skaggs. He was a US Army Veteran serving in WWII and a Purple Heart recipient, He was a coal miner, a coon hound trader, a member of the VFW post 5480, and a member of American Legion post 6. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jonell Skaggs, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by; Son, Jerry Skaggs of Blackford, KY Grandson, Joey Skaggs of Bowling Green, KY 2 Great Grandchildren, Lydia Skaggs and Reagan Skaggs. Services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Sebree. Brother Ronnie Gibson will officiate. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery with full military rites by the Hopkins County Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10 am until service time at the funeral home.
