Lewis "Sonny" Blanford

Lewis “Sonny” Blanford, 57 of Smith Mills passed away March 9, 2015 at his residence. He was born June 9, 1957 in Henderson to Bernard Lee and Juanita (Brown) Blanford. He was a hair stylist. His hobbies included furniture refinishing, flowers, landscaping and gardening. He was big hearted and could never say “No.” He also was an animal lover. He was preceded in death by his father Bernard “Rabbit” Blanford. He is survived by his mother Juanita Blanford of Smith Mills and his companion Ron Christian of Henderson, KY, five sisters: Bernice McGaha of Smith Mills, KY, Needie Babb and her husband Calvin of Eddyville, KY, Mary Hudnall and her husband Jerry of Smith Mills, KY, Robin Givens and her husband Dale of Little Dixie, KY, and Monie Beck and her husband Scott of Little Dixie, KY. Nieces and nephews. Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday March 12 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson with Rev. Dr. Bob Coons officiating. Burial will be in Smith Mills Cemetery in Smith Mills. Visitation will be 10:00 AM-2:00 PM Thursday March 12 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jennifer Crowley, Shelly Vaught, Amy Tapp, Kristy Wallace, Becky Guyat, Lindsey Givens, Angel Hill, Jayme French, Rachel Hensley, and Katie Douglas.
