Lewis Powell Sheets, 81, of Henderson, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Henderson

Nursing and Rehab.

Lewis was born in Henderson to the late Laz and Cora Belle (Springer) Sheets. He retired from

Alcoa and was a member of Chapel Hill Church.

Lewis loved making memories with his family, sharing laughter, and making others laugh

through his storytelling. He enjoyed traveling, dining at nice restaurants, looking his best, and

shopping-not only for himself but also for his family. He especially enjoyed taking an active

role in shopping for his children.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Sheets, his sister

Jane Putman and his brother in law Tommy Putman.

Lewis is survived by his wife of 23 years, Teresa Sheets; his children, Mark Sheets (Leslie) and

Kelly Roark (Kevin); his stepchildren, Summer Sisney (Ryan) and Tara Smith (Shane); his sister,

Donna Hart (Larry); his grandchildren, Drew Bivins, Bella Davenport (Connor), Parker Sisney,

Lillie Sheets, Delaney Smith, Jack Sheets, Hallie Sisney, Scarlett Smith, and Mia Kate Sisney;

Niece Janet Burke (Jim) and Nephew Jr Putman (Cherri) as well as many other extended family

members and close friends who will cherish his memory.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2026, at Chapel Hill

Church. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the service time. Burial will follow at

Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
