Linda Jane "Sissie" Buckreis

Linda Jane “Sissie” Buckreis, 72, of Henderson, passed away May 5, 2018 at Henderson Nursing and Rehab.  Sissie grew up in Baskett, Kentucky, the youngest of eight children.  She was a tomboy that liked to fish and shoot guns.  She enjoyed listening to county classics and old time gospel music.  Sissie liked watching wrestling, Sci-Fi movies and Western.  John Wayne was her hero. Her best times were spent with her niece and nephew, Jerry and Kay, running around to grocery stores and Wal-Mart.  Shoe carnival was her favorite place and she said she could smell the shoes before she got there.  Sissie loved her grandchildren and her dog Katie.  She was a fighter that was loved and will be missed. Sissie was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight and Kathlyn Hudson, 3 brothers Billy Hudson, David Hudson and Zeke Hudson, 3 sisters Margaret Southard, Bettye Gilmore and Denise Ford.  Survivors include a daughter Angel Marshall, 4 grandchildren Travis Buckreis, Emily Brown and husband Jonathan, Ryder Winebrenner, Calee Buckreis, great-grandchild Ariel Buckreis, 1 sister Dorothy Robards, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday May 14, 2018 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. The Reverend Jamie Wilke will officiate.  Visitation will be Monday 2:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
