Linda Carter

Linda Gail (Gish) Carter, 73, of Henderson, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at home.

She was born in Henderson on January 23, 1950 to the late James and Naomi (Lord) Gish.

Linda was a nurse’s aide and later worked in medical records. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and playing video games.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy Gish, Mike Gish, and Jackie Gish and sister, Betty Morgan.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, George Carter; children, Tracy Kellough (Eddie), Tammy Powell, Selinda Powell (Tommy), Glenn Carter (Dee), and Melissa Carrier; 10 grandchildren, Josh, Jay, Drew, Tyler, Seth, Gage, Jon, Jordan, Nick, and Katelyn; several great grandchildren; siblings, Tiny Hargiss, Beverly Burris, Sharon Alexander, Martha Schoening, Lucille Varble, Charles Gish, Donnie Gish, and Franz Gish; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
