Linda Lee Dunn, lovingly known by many as “Mamaw” or “Miss Linda,” passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville. She was 89 years old.
A lifelong resident of Sebree, Kentucky, Linda was a member of Sebree General Baptist Church. Once her children were in school, she began working outside the home and dedicated many years of service to Cresline Plastic, York Manufacturing, and Dana Corporation. She was also proud to be an active member of the Sebree Chapter of the Eastern Star, where she formed lasting friendships and served her community with heart.
Linda had a deep love for life, sunshine, and the people around her. On beautiful days, she could often be found sitting on her deck with a cup of coffee, welcoming family and friends who dropped by for a visit. She found her greatest joy in her family—her children, grandchildren, and their growing families were the light of her life and the source of her deepest pride.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curnie S. and Adena (Brooks) Tyler; her sisters, Joyce Rogaski, Katherine Dunville, and Violet Bumpus; her brothers, Bob Tyler and Jack Tyler; her beloved daughter, Terri Lee Morse; her nephew, Perry Tyler; her grandson, John Michael Dunn; and her great-granddaughters, Jackson Witt and Whitley Dunn.
Linda is survived by her children, John Dunn Jr. and his wife Marsha of Nortonville, Curnie Dunn and his wife Jackie of Bristol, Virginia, Timmy Dunn and his wife Denise of Slaughters, and Mike Dunn and his wife Samantha of Hayden, Alabama. She also leaves behind her brother, Richard Tyler and his wife Geraldine of Sebree, as well as 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Linda’s legacy of kindness, faith, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Sebree General Baptist Women's Missonary Society P.O Box 277 Sebree, KY 42455.
