Linda Kay (McCormick) Lindsey, 60 of Ashbyburg, KY passed away 9:25 PM Thursday August 27, 2009 at her home. She was born to Leonard and Agnes (Berrong) McCormick on September 24, 1948 in Hopkins Co., KY. She was a homemaker and a Mother and Grandmother to many. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Hanson, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter Bridget Kay Lindsey (1965), 1 niece Jennifer Kay Cardwell (2004) She is survived by her husband of 44 years: Roger Lindsey 1 son: Chris and wife Shannon Lindsey of Ashbyburg 3 daughters: Cherri “Sissy” Lindsey of Madisonville, KY Dana Lindsey of Newburgh, IN Holley Lindsey of Madisonville, KY 5 sisters: Pauline Harberson of Slaughters, KY Sue Underhill of Newburgh, IN Elsie Chamberlain of Henderson, KY Anna Faye McCormick of Calhoun, KY Thalia Cardwell Deason of Salem, KY 2 brothers: James Leonard “J.L.” McCormick of Rumsey,KY Richard Lloyd “Ricky” McCormick of Sacramento,Ky 5 grandchildren: Justin Hale, Jessica Hale, Eric Lindsey, Nicole Lindsey, and Sawyer Lindsey. 2 nieces and 3 nephews, she loved as her own Tonia Francis, Justin Cardwell, Heath Cardwell, Meagan Francis, and Hunter Francis. Services will be 2:00 PM Monday August 31 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Burial will be West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY. Bro. Lawrence Richardson and Bro. Justin Cardwell. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Sunday August 30 and 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Green River Hospice. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
