Lois Magdalene "Maggie" Melton

Lois Magdalene “Maggie” Melton, 90, of Sebree passed away at Shemwell Health Care Center in Providence on December 29, 2017.  She was born to the late Cohen and Anna (McGoarty) West on January 13, 1927 in Henderson.  She was a member of Sebree United Methodist Church and retired from GE in Madisonville.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lee Edward Melton in 2013, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.  She is survived by 1 son Mike Melton and wife Phyllis, 1 daughter Marilyn Oldham and husband Dwayne all of Sebree, 1 sister Velma Hope, 1 brother Alven West both of Henderson, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Services will be 11:00 AM Friday January 5, 2018 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel.  Pastor James Shuck will officiate.  Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery in Sebree.  Visitation will be Thursday 4-7PM and Friday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Sebree United Methodist Church Building Fund.
