Loren "Greasy" Dale Sorrells

Loren “Greasy” Dale Sorrells, 82 of Spottsville passed away December 14, 2021 at Deaconess Henderson Hospital. He was born May 4, 1939 to late Lawrence and Maude Sorrells.Greasy was a US Navy Veteran and was retired from Retiki Mines. He was a member of the American Legion Worsham Post #40.  Greasy was full of life and loved the river and nature, he especially loved spending time with family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Donnetta Sorrells, six brothers and sisters. He is survived by two children, Scott Sorrells and Jade Sorrells both of Spottsville; two sisters, Emma Lou Line of French Lick, IN and Alice Boyd of Shoals, IN; sister-in-law, Sharon Brassine of Loogootee, IN; four grandchildren, Amber Veach, Winter Hardin, Jena Sorrells and Cassie Sorrells; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday December 16, 2021 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor GuardVisitation will be Thursday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
