Loretta Duncan

Loretta Duncan, 61 of Henderson passed away January 4, 2022, due to injuries sustained in a car accident. Loretta was born in Henderson to Morris Liggett and Sammye (White) Liggett Phelps. She was a 1978 Webster County high school graduate, a 1980 valedictorian graduate of Lockyear Business School, and paralegal graduate of LSU in 1994. Loretta had a lively personality and a fiery spirit. She enjoyed painting, sewing, and French culture. She loved life, discovering new things, and most of all, her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Morris Liggett and brother, Allen Liggett. Loretta is survived by her husband of 10 years, Ernest “Buster” Duncan; her daughters, Rachel Woodruff (Ian) and Jessica Robertson (George); her stepsons, Michael Duncan (Deanna) and Sonney Duncan (Denise); her sisters, Melody Ruffin (Joey) and Leah Szablinski (Ed); eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Friday 7:00 PM January 14, 2022, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Rev. Mike Snyder officiating.  A private burial will be held at a later date at Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 PM until service time Friday at the funeral home.
