Lula Belle (Dye) Clark, 79, of Henderson, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh. She was born in Morganfield on November 26, 1941 to the late William Proctor Dye and Lillie Mae (Mayville) Dye Williams. Lula was a retired Rural Letter Carrier and Union Steward of Mt. Vernon, Indiana Post Office. She was a member of Church of God Mission in Mt. Vernon where she worked with youth and served as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed memorizing passages of the Bible and could recite the longest Chapter of the Bible; Psalm 119. Lula was a Cub Scout Leader and a member of BPWA of Evansville. She was a talented and published poet receiving national recognition for her work from the Postmaster General. Lula also prepared taxes for years. She liked to crochet, make gifts for people and loved music. She played the piano and harmonica and passed her talent onto her kids. Lula loved her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son William Virgil, 3 sisters Virgie Dye Debose, Mary Dye, Omia Dye Heath, 2 brothers Albert Dye and Thomas Williams. Survivors include 4 children; Sharon Darnell (Steven) of Marion, IL, Dennis Clark, Jr. (Melissa) of Florida, Deborah Majors (Steven) of Henderson, Jonathan Clark (Tammy Hammond) of Marion, KY; 2 sisters Bertha Brakie and Callie Littlepage both of Mt. Vernon, IN; 8 grandchildren Shea Majors (Hwa Jeoung), Ryan Darnell (Lauren), Lacie Poochie, Matthew Clark, Belle Weimer, Tristan Hammond, Kiersten Clark, Gracie Majors; 3 great-grandchildren Elijah Majors, Adam Majors, Marleigh Weimer, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Bellefontaine Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Indiana with Rev. Dallas Robinson officiating. Visitation will be 10:30 AM until Noon Wednesday December 23, 2020 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel.
