Luster Hartwell Freeland

Luster “Les” Hartwell Freeland, 92 of Henderson passed away August 14, 2017 at his residence under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.  He was born July 15, 1925 in Scott Co., MO to James Hartwell and Katie (Stovall) Freeland.  He was a member of Day Spring Church of God.  Les was preceded in death by his wife; Wanda Louise Freeland (2012).  He is survived by 3 daughter; Sue Rice of Henderson, Brenda Peckenpaugh of Henderson and Kathy Cook of Bowling Green, 2 sons; Steve Freeland of Houston, TX and Keith Freeland of Henderson, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.  Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.  Rev. Albert Winters and Pastor Greg Lindsey will officiate.  Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday and 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be Steven Bowden, Jacob Nunn, Logan Martin, Tyler Peckenpaugh, Jace Caldwell, Trae Mays  and Chase Peckenpaugh.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Shane Mays, Tony Peckenpaugh, Jerid Freeland, Robert Williams and Tim Cox.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
