M C Barber, 76 of Earlington passed away on Saturday, August 17th at his home in Earlington. He was born March 3, 1937 to the late Cash Thurman Barber and Clemmie Elizabeth Wix Barber. He was a 1957 graduate of Earlington High School. He was retired from Costain Coal Company, a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society.He was a member and served on Church Council for several years at Immaculate Conception. He was an avid woodworker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Allison Marie Barber (1976) and a brother Harold Barber. He is survived by his wife, Patsy (Blakeley) Barber, one daughter, Melinda and her husband Larry Oglesby of Madisonville. One brother Ernest “Dick” Barber and his wife Betty Elizabeth of Island, Ky. Two grandchildren Christopher Noah of Madisonville, Megan (Noah) and husband James Crumley of Louisville, Ky. One great-grandchild, Scarlett Ann Crumley of Louisville. He had several nieces and nephews. Service will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Wednesday August 21st at 2:00 PM. With Father Bruce Fogle officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington. Visitation will be held at Reid-Walters Funeral from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM prior to service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St Vincent DePaul Building Fund. 101 E Arch Street , Madisonville, Ky. 42431.
