Margaret Helen (Troop) DeMoss, 79, of Earlington passed away at 2:40 PM on Saturday March 10, 2012 at Brighton Cornerstone Nursing Home. She was born in Earlington to the late John and Eula (Burns) Troop on December 2, 1932. She was City Clerk of Earlington for 25 years, a member of Suthards Baptist Church and a Kentucky Colonel. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. A. O. DeMoss Jr. and brother-in-law Charles “Buddy” Cloern. She is survived by 2 daughters: Katrinka DeMoss Gibson and husband Harold of Paducah, Kentucky Kitty Skaggs of Madisonville 2 Sons: Andrew DeMoss of Nortonville Mark DeMoss and wife Kim of Madisonville 3 Sisters: Elizabeth Cloern of Madisonville Sharon Gray of Owensboro Gayle Haviland and husband Warren of Owensboro 1 Brother: John Troop and wife Jean of Madisonville Grandchildren: Joey Skaggs and wife Ashley Kacey Alexander and husband Jason Ches Gibson and wife Whittany Jordan DeMoss Kiley DeMoss Great-Grandchildren: Lydia and Raegan Skaggs, Logan Alexander and Sawyer Gibson Several Nieces and Nephews Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday March 14 at First Baptist Church in Earlington. Rev. Dennis Mayfield will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-8 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home and Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington. Pallbearers will be Mark DeMoss, Harold Gibson, Joey Skaggs, Jason Alexander, Rob Carlton and Bryan Scisney. Memorial Contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital.
