Margaret Claudette Hope

Margaret Claudette (Meyer) Hope, 83 of Robards passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at her residence under the care of St. Anthonys Hospice. She was born August 30, 1932 in Smith Mills to Claude E. and Ida Lee (Moffitt) Meyer. She retired from Methodist Hospital as an Accredited Record Technician and was a member of Evansville United Christian Fellowship. Claudette was valedictorian of her graduating class from Corydon High School. She volunteered at the Christian Outreach and the Salvation Army and she was on the board of Harbor House. Claudette would take food to those that were homebound. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Charles Hope (2014) and her grandmother; Margaret Moffitt. She is survived by 2 daughters: Deborah Hope Dyer of Kuttawa, KY and Teresa Hope Kloke and precious son in law Tim of Geneva, KY 1 son: Stephen Keith Hope of Corydon, KY 1 sister: Greta Wilson of Edinburg, IL 1 brother: Charles Buddy Meyer of Smith Mills, KY 9 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren 2 great- great grandchildren Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Roger Willis and Rev. Eddie Berry will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Wednesday and 11:00 AM-2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthonys Hospice or Christian Outreach. Pallbearers will be Tony McBride, Alan Williams, Eugene Willard Hyde III, Brent Walker, Nick Heistand and Greg Hope.
