Margie "Granny" Floyd

Margie “Granny” Floyd, 91 of Henderson passed away July 17, 2022, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital. She was born March 16, 1931, in Allegre, KY to the late William and Flossie Jones. Margie was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed watching Cardinal baseball and was a wonderful cook. Every Sunday after church was always family day. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Lambert Floyd; siblings, Mamie Cavanaugh, Mary Ardel Parker, Charles D. Jones, Patsy LaRue and Thomas Jones. She is survived by her two sons, Kenny Floyd (Linda) and Bill Floyd (Martha) all of Henderson; sisters and brothers, Elsie Clark of Hopkinsville, William Eugene Jones (Karen) of TN, Wanda Shelton (Charlie) of Sebree, Joyce Deno of Henderson, Geraldine Tyler (Richard) of Sebree and Janice Hill of Dixon; four grandchildren, Jayme Floyd (Jeff), Wesley Floyd (Whitney), Melissa Houston and Michael Baker; three great grandchildren, Hunter Houston, Beta Baker and Abigail Houston. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Rev. Jim Wofford officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, 11:00 a.m. until funeral service time at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Pallbearers will be David Sellers, Chris Smithhart, Jeff Jones, Gordy Tyler, Tom Dempewolf, and Christopher Smithhart.
