Marie Moss Reed Pruitt

Marie Moss Reed Pruitt, 88, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017. In partnership with her sisters, she owned and operated Trends & Traditions in downtown Henderson for many years. Marie was preceded in death by her parents Lula and T.H. Moss, her first husband Frank Reed, Jr. and her sisters Martha M. Henderson and Virginia M. Holloman. Survivors include her husband of 41 years; Malcolm Pruitt of Henderson; one sister, Ann M. Williams of Henderson; a son, Stephen Reed (Janna) of Henderson; five stepchildren, Phyllis Heilman (D.C) of Charlotte, NC, Marcia Murphy (Jim) of Hilton Head Island, SC, Wayne Pruitt (Vicky) of Wooster, Ohio, Greg Pruitt (Vicki) of Henderson, and Jennifer Howell (Marshall) of Henderson; 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren,1 great-great-granddaughter, and nieces and nephews.Visitation will be Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 1-4 PM at Bellfield Baptist Church. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of floral arrangements contributions may take the form of donations to Bellfield Baptist Church. Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson will be handling the arrangements.
