Marilyn Polley Fritts

Marilyn Polley Fritts, born October 3, 1945, of Henderson, left this earth to reside in a new home with our Father Jesus Christ on October 21, 2022.

Marilyn worked 39 years as a nursing caregiver, which she loved dearly, at Redbanks Nursing Home.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Carl and Mary Jo Tapp; siblings, Louis Tapp, Ann Buchanan Newman, Martha Duckworth, Sue Walker; one of her beloved children, Tousha Polley Hagan; and son-in-law, Tracy Lawrence.

She leaves behind her husband, companion, and agitator of 34 years, Dan, whom she met while working part time at Golden Glaze Bakery; one daughter, JoNell Lawrence (Shane Kurtz) of Henderson; sons, John Carl Polley (Melody) of Nevada, John Fritts of Henderson, and James Daniel Fritts (Tonia) of Evansville; grandchildren, Crystal Matthews (Jon), Adrian Oglesby, Daniel Hagan, Kayla LaPradd (John), Jordan Polley (Alysa), Addison Polley, Cody Chanley, Gage Sims, Daniel Fritts, Elijah Fritts, Caleb Fritts, Austin Fritts, Luke Hagan; great grandchildren, Jaxson Matthews, Brody Matthews, Brayden Oglesby, Yazmin Oglesby, Berkley LaPradd, Layla LaPradd, Caiden Hagan, Roman Hagan, Waylon Hagan, and Karma Hagan.

A legacy of love which she shared with Dan and close friends, Chester and Gertie Byrd, while enjoying many memories! Our thanks to all that have shown compassion while struggling with health issues, the last eight years. A special thanks to sister-in-law, Patricia Leet; caregivers, Velma Daughtery, Debbi Kitchens, Ellie Smith, Jada Powell, and Heart to Heart Hospice. Most importantly, we thank all the Christians and believers for the many prayers. It has been our blessed love story.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, on Wednesday, October 26 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Rev. Linda Fambrough officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 25 from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 26 from 10:00 AM until service time.

Pallbearers will be Jerrod Cottingham, Chris Moore, Austin Fritts, Shane Kurtz, Elijah Fritts, Daniel Fritts, Caleb Fritts, John LaPradd, and Jon Matthews.
