Marilyn Jones

Marilyn Jones, 70, of Henderson, peacefully passed away Friday, October 2, 2026, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Henderson, Kentucky, to the late Hubert and Alma Burden.

Marilyn loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she affectionately called her "little ones."

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ricky Yates, and her siblings, Agnes Dunbar, Pauline Mayes, Carolyn Austin, Jr. Burden, and Tommy Burden.

She is survived by her children, Billy Jones (Mandy), Clay Jones (Cassie), Christie Robertson, Jeremy Yates, Sandra Denton, Savannah, and Kalona; her siblings, Etheline Stone, Christine Mayes, Crystal Thornsberry, Tana Tennes, and Marvin Burden; her grandchildren, Madison Spainhoward (Aaron), Chelsea Overfield (Colton), Courtney Moeser (Josh), Stephen Fulkerson (Hayley), Zachary Jones, Brittany Keister, and Alexis Devault; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Tomblinson Funeral Home, with burial to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Waverly, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Spainhoward, Colton Overfield, Chris Walker, Joe Stone, James Tennes, and Mike Denton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Jones and Stephen Fulkerson.
