Marlene Puttman

Marlene (Toone) Puttman, 74 of Henderson passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at St. Anthony’s Hospice at Lucy Smith King Care Center. She was born January 26, 1944 in Henderson to the late Russell E. and Buneda (Slaughter) Toone. Marlene was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  She was a beautician and had worked as a Deputy Clerk for the Henderson County Clerk’s Office.  She was a homemaker and an extraordinary lady, always putting everyone before herself. Marlene was devoted to her family, friends and anyone else in her presence. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joseph E. Puttman III; two children, Cari Murphy (Jeff), Sheri Bealmear (Chris) all of Henderson; one sister, Mary Ruth Toone of Henderson; brother, Virgil Toone (Bonnie) of Evansville; five grandchildren, Logan Fleming, Brock Murphy, Luke Murphy, Laney Murphy and Christopher Bealmear; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.  Pastor Mark Moog will officiate.  Burial will follow at Fernwood Cemetery.   Visitation will be 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
