Martha Ann Gibson

Martha Ann Gibson passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 1:50 am at her home under the care of St Anthony's Hospice from complications of lung cancer. She was born to David Edward Seitz and Catherine Ernestine Hoover-Seitz in Henderson, KY, on February 4, 1933. Her parents and sister, Sue Vada Seitz-Poston, preceded her death. She is a lifelong member of Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church in Henderson but most recently attended online services at Community Baptist Church. She graduated from Barret Manual Training Center and retired from the former Community Methodist Hospital where she worked in the radiology department. Martha Ann was an avid baker, knitter, seamstress, and reader. She didn't meet a stranger and loved her family immensely. Always putting others before herself, she was indeed a selfless individual. Martha Ann is survived by her pride and joy, her three sons: David (Cathy) Gibson of Henderson, Jeff (Robie) Gibson of Fern Park, FL, and Greg Gibson (Nibby Priest) of Henderson; Five grandchildren, Kim (Judd) Pritchett of Henderson, Amanda (John) Shaver of Evansville, IN, Kelly (Sam) Cox of Henderson, Jessica (Chris) Morris of Savannah, GA, and Nathaniel Gibson of Kuttawa, KY; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Funeral Services will begin at noon on Saturday, September 3, 2022, with the Rev. Gary Chapman and the Rev. Mary Wrye officiating. Private graveside services will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Henderson. The family would like to thank the St. Anthony's Hospice staff and the Lucy Smith King Care Center for their loving care and the compassionate Pat Vowels for her dedication and love.
