Martha Jane Gower

Martha Jane (Elikofer) Gower, 84 of Slaughters passed away January 23, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Lucy Smith King Care Center.  She was born August 2, 1933 in Boonville, IN to William and Dolly (McKenzie) Barker.  Martha was a member of Vann Ave. Baptist Church in Evansville, she also attended the Rescue Mission in Evansville.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband; Irvin Elikofer, 2nd husband; Larry Gower.  Martha is survived by 4 children; Paula Upchurch and her husband Mark of Texas, Debi Wright and her husband Gary of Virginia, Diana Zimmerman and her husband Randy of IN, Peggy Frizzell and her husband Mark of Slaughters, 1 brother; Darrell Barker of Kuttawa, KY, 2 sisters Mary Douglas and Clara Mae Barker, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday January 27, 2018 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree.  Mark Upchurch will officiate will burial in Sassafras Grove Cemetery in Onton.  Visitation will be 11AM-until service time at the funeral home.Pallbearers will be Randy Zimmerman, Mark Frizzell, Paul Edwards, Odlin Mathurin, Paul Inkenbrandt, Joshua Inkenbrandt and Gary Wright.The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Hussain’s office and the Infusion Unit for their care of Martha.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice.Online condolences may be made at tomblinsonfuneralhome.com
