Martha Ann Hazelwood

Martha Ann Hazelwood, 83, Henderson, died at 9:19 PM Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Redbanks Nursing Home. Martha was born on June 23, 1931 in Hebbardsville, KY to R. Crafton and Alice Staples. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church. She was a member of the order of the Eastern Star. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved cooking, her roses, and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold N. Hazelwood who died on May 18, 1987; and her parents. Survivors include 2 sons, Walter Hazelwood and his wife Kathy, and Steve Hazelwood; 2 daughters, Lisa Hatchett and her husband David, and Janet Hazelwood all of Henderson. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Jeremy Hazelwood and his wife Amber; Chris Hazelwood and his wife Kelly; Christan Suggs and her husband Justin all from Henderson; Lindsay Deibler and her husband Jace from Morganfield; Lauren Hatchett from Louisville; and Austin Hatchett from Bowling Green. She also leaves behind 15 great grandchildren; brother, William D. Staples and his wife Gene of Henderson and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 7 and 9:00 AM until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
