Martha Ruth Lynn

Martha Ruth Clayton Lynn, 86, of Sebree, KY went to be with her heavenly father on Friday, January 10th, 2025, at her home.

Martha was born on June 20, 1938, in Caldwell County to the late Ottie and Ruby Clayton.

She graduated from Caldwell County High School in 1956. On August 10th, 1957, she married the love of her life. She started a career with Kentucky Utilities in Dawson Springs. Martha resided in Livermore for several years and in 1978 she moved with her family to Sebree. Her home in Sebree was a place of gathering for friends, family, and strangers alike. When you walked in the door, she would have a homecooked meal ready for you.

Martha could be seen working at several banks in Sebree throughout her career. She was a faithful and active member of Sebree First Baptist Church and served in many roles. She loved her church and her church family and dedicated most of her life to serving others. She volunteered with many organizations along with her husband. Martha and Doug were very proud of their work with the Sebree Firecracker Run since 1980. She was also a sports fan and could be found in the crowd at many sporting events including basketball, football, baseball, band, and gymnastics

Martha was preceded in death her parents, her husband (Douglas Lynn), and her son (Stephen Lynn).

Martha is survived by her daughter Stephanie Todd, her son David Lynn and his wife Lori. Grandchildren include Chelsey Wright and her husband Matthew, Shelby Conrad and her husband Brendan, Aaron Lynn and his wife Gloria, Mallory Todd, Emily Sutton and her husband Levi, John Lynn, Riley Lynn, Houston Lynn, Hayden Lynn, and Macie Lynn. Great Grandchildren include Hudson Wright, Madilynn Wright, Molly Conrad, Carter Suttle, Lillian Wright, and Graham Conrad. She is also survived by her sisters, Ola Mae Perry, Mable Laffoon, Virginia Brown, Becky Ramage and her husband Jimmy along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Sebree First Baptist Church with Bro. Dylan Zahn and Dr. Bob Hardison officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday 3-7PM at Sebree First Baptist Church and Thursday 9:00 AM until service time at the church.

Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Aaron Lynn, John Lynn, Riley Lynn, Houston Lynn, Hayden Lynn, Matthew Wright, Brendan Conrad and Levi Sutton. Honorary pallbearers are Hudson Wright, Carter Suttle, and Graham Conrad.
