Martha Lou Reed

Martha Lou (Thompson) Reed, 74, of Henderson, Kentucky passed away at 2:45 PM Thursday November 3, 2011 at Brighton Cornerstone Nursing Facility in Madisonville. She was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 29, 1937 to Owen and Ruth (Carter) Thompson. She was a homemaker, a lifetime member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson, a loving Mother and Grandmother who enjoyed being with her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ronald E. Reed who passed away in 1991. She is survived by 4 children: Rhonda Johnson of Henderson, KY William “Bart” Reed of Henderson, KY Robert “Robbie” and wife Dorothy Reed of Henderson, KY Jeanetta “Jetta” Lahr and husband Ron of Slaughters, KY 1 Brother: Gene Thompson and wife Fae of Evansville, IN 1 Sister: Patricia “Patty” Ligon and husband Hugh of Henderson, KY Grandchildren: Robin and husband David Fricke, Jennifer Johnson Stone and husband Mark, Shane Boles, Ryan and wife Meghan Reed, Natalie Reed, Tyler Reed, Travis Reed, Bradley Crowder, Whitney Lahr, Codie Lahr and Camden Lahr 14 Great-grandchildren Nieces and nephews Services will be 1:00 PM Monday November 7, 2011 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Bro. Gary Taylor and Bro. David Simpson will officiate Visitation will be Sunday from 12-8 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel and on Monday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, Kentucky Pallbearers will be Jesse Smithhart, Tyler Reed, Ryan Reed, Shane Boles, Travis Reed, Bradley Crowder, Camden Lahr and David Fricke.
