Mary Ann Bannwart, 72 of Henderson passed away October 29, 2021 at her home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. She was born in Evansville to the late Robert Earl and Odelia (Lamble) Crowe on June 24, 1949. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jim Bannwart. Mary Ann was a teacher for Union County School System and also was a substitute teacher in Henderson. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. She served as the ABA Basketball secretary for over 25 years and was on the Lady Spitfire Golf League at Thunderbolt Golf course and was league champion in 2009. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Bob Bannwart; two sons, Brad Bannwart (Tia), Scott Bannwart (Danielle); two brothers, Bob Crowe (Cele) Gary Crowe (Sylvia); one brother-in-law, Dave Bannwart (Mary); one sister-in-law, Maryann Bannwart, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A funeral mass will be held at noon Friday, November 5, 2021 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Larry McBride officiating.Visitation will be Thursday, 4-7PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel and Friday, 11:00 AM until mass at Holy Name.Prayers will be Thursday, 5PM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice, 2410 S. Green St. Henderson, KY 42420 or Chemo Buddies 3700 Bellemeade Ave. Suite 118 Evansville, IN 47714.
