Mary Clouse

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Clouse, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on October 15, 2025, at her home in Henderson, Kentucky. Mary was a cherished lifelong member of Cash Creek Baptist Church, where her spirit of kindness and devotion touched the hearts of many.

Mary dedicated her career to nurturing the young minds of Henderson County as a cook at Henderson County High School, North Middle School, and Gibbs, where her warm meals and caring nature made an indelible mark. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including camping and quilting, and cherished every moment spent cheering for her grandchildren at their many activities.

Mary is survived by her loving daughter Peggy Alderson(Larry); her devoted sons Donald Clouse and Rick Clouse; her cherished grandchildren Jacque Kellen (Wayne), Nathan Alderson (Jacob Goldstein), and Jessica Bumgardner (Adam); her adored great-grandchildren Caleb Kellen (Amanda), Madi Kellen, Mason Bumgardner, and Grace Bumgardner; her great great grandchildren Noah Kellen and Claire Kellen and her nephew Doug Mays (Colleen) . She also leaves behind numerous great-nieces and great-nephews who will honor her memory with love.

A visitation will be held at Tomblinson Funeral Home on October 18, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, allowing friends and family to celebrate her remarkable life together. The viewing will continue at Cash Creek Baptist Church on October 19, 2025, from 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM. Brother Robert Duncan and Dr. Chris Platt will officiate the service. Mary will be laid to rest at Cash Creek Cemetery, a tranquil spot where her spirit can be cherished by all who visit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice or Cash Creek Baptist Church, institutions that reflect her unwavering faith and commitment to serving others.

As we remember Mary Clouse, let us carry forward her legacy of love, compassion, and generosity in our hearts. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Everett Elbert; her parents Emmett J and Mary Belle (Golday) Mays; her daughter Pat Clouse and her brother Emmett Elmos Mays.
