Mary Louise Cornwell

Mary Louise (Shelton) Cornwell, 87 of Henderson passed away August 19, 2016 at St. Anthonys Lucy Smith King Care Center. She was born August 21, 1928 in Henderson to Robert Lee and Violia Shelton. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed playing bingo and the guitar. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Cornwell (1997), 4 sons; Fred Cornwell, Bill Cornwell, Arlus Cornwell, Van Cornwell, 3 daughters; Cindy Scott, Lucille Cornwell, Martha Cornwell and grandson; Franklin Rigdon. She is survived by 8 children; Nancy Rigdon (Richard), Virginia Hobbs, Margie Cornwell (George Green), Jennifer Norris, Lois Cornwell (Lester VanVactor) all of Henderson, Bobby Cornwell (Cindy) of Webster Co., Paul Cornwell of Henderson, Realey Cornwell of Henderson who was also her caregiver for many years, 1 sister; Janie Whitehead of Henderson, 3 brothers; James Shelton (Helen) of Webster Co., Jessie Shelton (Mary) of Spottsville and Mose Shelton of Florida, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday August 23 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Rev. Lynn Owens and Deacon Lingerfelt will officiate. Burial will be in Corydon Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 PM-8:00 PM Monday and 9:AM until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Richard Cornwell, Michael Hobbs, Jr., George Rigdon, Shawn Hobbs, Joshua Cornwell, Amos Nelson, George Green and Kenny Tegethoff.
