Mary Alice Griffin

Mary Alice (Coomes) Griffin, 82, of Sebree passed away at her home November 14, 2016. She was born in Henderson County to the late Joseph Engram and Mary Robbie Coomes. Mary had retired from Newt's Liquor in Henderson and was of the Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Dorval Coomes and James "Peanut" Coomes. She is survived by her husband Donnie Griffin of Sebree, KY Step son Bradley Griffin of Dixon, KY Special niece Diane Coomes of Owensboro, KY 5 nieces and 5 nephews, several great nieces and nephews. Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday November 17, 2016 at St. Michaels Catholic Church with Father Jose Carmelo and Father Richard Powers officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday November 16, 2016 and 9:00-10:30 AM Thursday November 17, 2016 at the funeral home. Prayer service will be 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Gerald Coomes, Michael Coomes, Eddie Coomes, Rick Coomes, Raymond Coomes, and Robert Coomes. Memorial contributions may be made to Wendell Foster Center in Owensboro.
