Mary Jane Hays, 63, of Henderson, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at home. She was born in Henderson on June 27, 1958 to the late Bonnie Holmes. Mary cleaned houses and enjoyed her flower garden. She was a strong, independent woman with a good heart who loved helping those in need. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved her dog, “Lilly.” In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Hays; son, Jimmy Watson; stepson, Dustin Hays; and brother, Lester Holmes. She is survived by her children, Josh Watson (Carol) of Owensboro and Michael Holmes (Jocelyn) of Slaughters; five grandchildren, Daylon Holmes, Gavin Holmes, Julianne Holmes, Korbyn Watson, and Meagan Saalwaechter; three great grandchildren; and brother, Dorris “PeeWee” Holmes of Dixon. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 13 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson. Visitation will be Friday, May 13 from 10 a.m. until funeral time.
