Mary Jo Clark

Mary Jo Ann Clark, 69, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2023, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born on October 22, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri and after her adoption as an infant moved to Spencer, Iowa where she graduated high school in 1973. She was a longtime resident of Henderson, Kentucky, with an in-home daycare for several years, worked for AB Chandler after care program, retired from TJ Maxx Distribution Center in Evansville, Indiana and was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Cairo, Kentucky. She cherished moments with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilda and Lloyd Paulson, her husband Robert Steven Clark, her son, Nicholas Randall Thomson, and her step son-in-law Eric Henderson.

Survivors include her daughters, Jessica (Scott) Hester and Bonita Thomson both of Henderson, Kentucky and Sara (Boyd) Stewart of Forest, Ohio; step-sons Robert Clark and Steven (Carly) Clark, and step-daughter April Henderson, all of Henderson, Kentucky.; daughter-in-law Christine Galusky of Vandalia, Ohio; brother Frank (Joy) Paulson of Little Elm, Texas; brother-in-law Bruce (Carla) Clark of Henderson, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Anthony’s Hospice and the Lucy Smith King Care Center for their compassion and care over the past two months. The difference they make in the lives of patients and their loved ones is truly remarkable. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to this wonderful organization.

A Memorial service will be 12:00 PM Saturday January 6, 2024, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Randy Durham officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the funeral home from 10 am to service time at the funeral home.

A meal will be provided following the service at New Life Baptist Church.
