Mary Lee Mitchell

Mary Lee Mitchell Mary “Lee” Mitchell, 73 of Madisonville passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. She was born February 11, 1940 to Robert Lee and Verna Adkins Lee. She was a retired job counselor for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She was a loyal friend and supporter of those at the Serenity House, she loved to cook and garden at home, and was a fan of the Kentuky Wildcats. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard W. Johnson and Thomas A. Mitchell, and one sister, Betty Offutt. She is survived by two sons, Steve (Ginger) Johnson of Mortons Gap, and John Robert Johnson of Madisonville, one sister, Alexa Finley of Madisonville, one brother, Robert Lee of Festus, Missouri, four grandchildren, Kacey Johnson of Winchester, Evan Johnson, Caleb Johnson, and Kyra Johnson of Louisville. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral home.
