Mary Frances Nix

Mary Frances (Melton) Nix, 92 of Madisonville passed away Monday February 4, 2013 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville. She was born in Onton, Kentucky to David Herman and Elizabeth Anges (Nance) Melton on August 2, 1920. She was a homemaker and a member of Soul’s Harbor Baptist Church in Madisonville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband James W. Myrick in 1981 and 2nd husband Guy Nix in 2005, sister Norma Carver, 3 brothers: Mahlon Melton, Hank Melton, Herman Melton and grandson Carl W. Austin. She is survived by 2 sons: Brian K. Myrick of Onton M. Dennis Myrick and wife Mary of Evansville 1 Daughter: Sherry Austin and husband Carl of Hanson 1 Brother: Harold Melton and wife Sue of Onton 2 Sister-in-laws: Joetta Melton and Hilda Chamberlain 7 Grandchildren 8 Great-grandchildren 3 Great-great-grandchildren Nieces and Nephews Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday February 7, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Bro. Bill Crabtree will officiate. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8PM and Thursday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
