Maurice Freeman

Maurice Freeman, 90, of Henderson, KY, formerly of London, England, passed away May 26, 2018, at St. Anthony’s Lucy Smith King Care Center. He was born June 28, 1927, in London, England, to Arthur and Ethel Freeman.  Mr. Freeman was a mechanical engineer and a member of Royal Citadel Church of St. Catherine City of Plymouth, England.  Mr. Freeman served in the Royal Air Force as a physical training instructor. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Arthur Freeman, sister; Iris Reynolds. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Brenda Whitchurch Freeman; three children; Wendy Ann Freeman of Henderson, Colonel Ian Freeman, MD, and his wife, Judy Freeman, MD, of Honolulu, HI, Jillian Ashworth and her husband Ralph of Henderson, one sister; Joy Dixon and her husband Charles of Attleborough, Norfolk, England, and 6 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 1, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Henderson.  Father Rich Martindale will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time Friday, June 1, at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to any animal charity.
