Maxey Hill Priest III Maxey Hill Priest III. 67, of Madisonville passed away at 5:21 PM, Monday, April 30, 2012, at Regional Medical Center, Madisonville. He was born Feb. 3, 1945 in Hopkins Co to Maxey Hill Priest Jr and Lulu Irene Demoss. He worked as a cable splicer for Bellsouth for 33 years and served in the Army and National Guard for 23 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran, Kentucky Colonel, Member of the Madisonville VFW, American Legion Post 6, Vietnam Members of Ky. Telephone Pioneers, Lifetime NRA member, 2nd Army and Combat Pistol Team. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maxey Hill Priest Junior and Lulu Irene Demoss Priest. Survivors include his wife, Debra Priest, one daughter Amy Lee Ayer and husband Brad of Henderson, Ky. Two sons, Ron Priest and wife Jane of Hanson, Ky, Rusty Priest and Wife Kim of Lancaster, Penn. And eight grandchildren. Services are at Earlington Methodist Church, Earlington, Ky. Friday May 4, 2012 at 1 PM with Rev Marty Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery in Earlington. Visitation is from 4 PM to 8 PM on Thursday May 3, 2012 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington. And on Friday from noon until service time at Earlington Methodist Church.
