Maxine Jean Wilkerson

Maxine Jean Wilkerson of Henderson Ky., passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on November 26, 2023 at Deaconess Henderson Hospital.

Maxine was born in Newburgh, Indiana on July 5th 1934. She married her husband, of 29 years, on March 29th, 1972. Together they took care of their farm in Baskett where they resided. She was a hardworking mother of 6 who dedicated around 30 years of her life to nursing.

Her dog Bo, who is still living, has stayed right by her side for the past 20 years.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was proceeded in death by her husband William Calton Wilkerson; her sons Murlin McCormick, Danny McCormick, her daughter Annette Lambdin and her son-in-law Louis Stokes Sr.

She is survived by her children Betty Stokes, Thomas McCormick, Posey McCormick; her grandchildren Kristie Piller, Louis Stokes Jr., Lynette May, Melinda Clement, Jason McCormick, Nathen Mccormick, Jared McCormick, Jody Sutton; 12 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service’s will be held on Wednesday, November 29th at Tomlinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Officiated by Rev. Jason Cowan. Burial will follow at Baskett Cemetery.

Visitation for family & friends will be from 12pm-2pm.
