Melanie Renee Moore

Melanie Renee Moore, 28, of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away on August 17, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on December 22, 1997, in Henderson, Kentucky, to Maicie and Kenny, she embodied a gentle, caring spirit that touched the lives of many.

Melanie's journey began in the close-knit community of Henderson, and she later graduated from Owensboro High School. She pursued her passion for helping others by earning an Associate's Degree and became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Melanie dedicated her life to caring for her patients at Wendell Foster and Majestic in Newburgh, Indiana. She loved working with her patients, coworkers and management.

She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Cecil and Clara King, and Robert and Martha Moore, her grandfather, Dwight Randall Manion, and her uncle, Mark Randall Manion. Melanie leaves behind her loving parents, Maicie and Kenny; three adoring brothers, Logan, Cameron, and Kenneth; her grandmother, Cathyrn King Manion; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Melanie was a unique and vibrant spirit-hilariously funny with a spicy attitude and quick wit, her presence would light up any room. Her honesty and compassion made her not only a remarkable caregiver but also a cherished friend. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Funeral mass will be 12:00 PM, Friday, August 21, 2026 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Richard Meredith officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 AM-11:30 AM, Friday, August 21, 2026 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel.
