Michael David “D.J.” Joyner, 39, of Henderson passed away March 11, 2014. David was born on February 22, 1975 to Don and Diane (Morris) Joyner. He graduated from HCHS in 1993 and later earned his toolmaker apprenticeship in 2000. He then began working for Sunrise Tool & Die in 1995 and remained there until his passing. His two passions were bowling and painting contemporary art. David was survived by his son: Isaac Joyner of Henderson Parents: Don and Diane Joyner of Cairo Brothers: Daniel Joyner of Henderson Duane Joyner and wife Sheena of Smith Mills Sister: Jill Cook and husband Gill of Decatur, Alabama 4 Nephews: Levi, Jacob, Gabe and Jace 2 Nieces: Ava and Katelin 4 Aunts, 5 Uncles, several cousins, along with countless friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him Services will be Noon Saturday March 15, 2014 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. Jerry Francis and Bro. Ellis Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Reed, Kentucky. Visitation will be Friday 2-8PM and Saturday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Frankie Honeycutt, Timmy Shehorn, Jason Skaggs, Brandon Woosley, Jason Wallace, Darrin Reed, Drew Littrell and Barry Sheeley. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
