Michael Robert Steele Michael Robert Steele, 33 of Hanson passed away on October 13, 2014 at his home. He was born on September 11, 1981 in Madisonville. He was preceded in death by his brother Jason Edward Steele and his grandparents Mary Grace Steele and Calbert Dame. Michael graduated from Madisonville North Hopkins High School in 2000. He attended Emberry United Methodist Church in Vandetta. Michael was baptized in 2005 at First General Baptist Church in Madisonville before joining the United States Marine Corp as a Corporal. He worked as a maintenance technician at Land O’ Frost in Madisonville. Michael was a proud dad to his daughters McKenzie Huddleston and Kaitlin Terry. Also surviving him are his parents Neal and Karin Dame of Hanson, Robert Steele of Earlington, his brother Kevin and his wife Maranda Steele of Madisonville, grandparents Ed and Jane Steele of Madisonville, Trilby Dame of Hanson and Ewald and Helga Schmitt of Germany. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece, and his many friends. Michael will be greatly missed by all! Services will be at 11:00 on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel with Reverend Maurice Lisanby officiating. Burial will be at Old Salem Cemetery in Hanson. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m at the funeral home and on Friday from 9:00 until service time. Full military rites will be conducted at the cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to The American Red Cross and the Hopkins County Humane Society.
