Mildred Geneva East, 91 of Hopkinsville, formerly of Earlington died on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Covington Convalescent and Rehabilitation in Hopkinsville. She was born on January 6, 1922 in Lyon County to the late James Dupass and Allie Marshall Dupass. She was a homemaker, and former PTA president. She worked for many years as a clerk at the Earlington Pharmacy. She taught Sunbeams, young women, and bible school at the First Baptist Church in Earlington. She was a church hostess and active in the W.M.U. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl East, two sisters, Lucille Middleton and Nell Roberts, and one brother, James Dupass. She is survived by her sons, Reverend John E. East III (Bonnie) of Salem, Kentucky, Timothy Joe East (Judy) of Memphis, Tennessee, her daughter Patricia East Adcock (Leonard) of Hopkinsville, her sister, Wanda Coulter of Herman, Missouri, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington with Reverend John East III officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons Ronald Adcock, Donald Adcock, Scott East, Troy Adcock, Michael East, Matthew T. East, Matthew J. East, and Marshall Adcock. Visitation will be from 12:00 until service time. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington.
