Minnie Jane Catlin

Minnie Jane (Thomas) Catlin, 81 of Sebree, KY passed away at 2:15 PM Thursday March 17, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, IN. She was born October 28, 1929 in Sebree, KY to the late Pete and Gertrude (Spaulding) Thomas. She was a homemaker and member of the Sebree General Baptist Church since 1962 where she was in the Dorcas Women’s Missionary Society and where she had kept the nursery and worked with the youth groups for many years. She had also worked for many years with her brother and sister at Thomas Café and Polly’s Resturant. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Oliver “Buck” Thomas, sister; Louise “Polly” Flener and son-in- law, Mark H. Mahurin. She is survived by her husband; James O. Catlin Daughter; Patsy Mahurin of Dixon, KY Sons; Thomas and wife Carolyn Catlin of Sebree, KY Tim and wife Anita Catlin of Sebree, KY 7 grandchildren; Mandy (Chris) Fambrough, Marcy Mahurin, Ryan (Jennifer) Mahurin, Matt (Lana) Catlin, Daniel (Denice) Catlin, James A.(Amber) Catlin, Jayleigh (Jamie) Tooley. 13 Great Grandchildren Nieces and Nephews Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday March 20, 2011 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel. Bro. David Bumpus and Bro. Nate Harper will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, KY. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 until 8:00 and Sunday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Matthew Catlin, Daniel Catlin, James A. Catlin, Ryan Mahurin, Kenny Flener, and Emery Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Fambrough, Jamie Tooley, C. E. Johnson, Tom Raleigh, Cecil Borum, Jerry Hobgood.
