Myrna Lois Cavanah

Myrna Boston Cavanah, 79, of Henderson, passed away 4:20 PM October 2, 2013 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. She was born April 1, 1934 in Sturgis, KY to the late Thomas Virgil and Geneva (Travis) Boston. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church. Myrna began her career as a legal secretary in 1952 with the law firm of Dorsey & Dorsey. She was a charter member of the Henderson Legal Secretaries and past president of the Kentucky Association of Legal Secretaries in 1971. She worked diligently alongside of attorney William L. Sullivan for nearly 58 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Helen Belcher, and Isabel Boston, 2 brothers: Tom Boston and Johnny Boston and one nephew David White. Survivors include three sons: James (Jay) D. Cavanah II and his wife Marie, John V. Cavanah and his wife Denise, and Frank N. Cavanah and his wife Janet all of Henderson, six grandchildren: Misty Dilback and her husband Adam, Dawn Forker and her husband Kale, J.D. Cavanah, John Clay Cavanah, Chad Cavanah, and Frank Cavanah, five great-grandchildren: Anna and Adelyn Dilback, Mary Claire and Lofton Forker, and Allyson Cavanah, two sisters: Mary Nell Shewmaker of Henderson and Dorothy White of Georgetown, KY. Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Rev. Richard Nollmann officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday, October 4, 2013 and 9-11 AM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jay Cavanah, John Cavanah, Frank Cavanah, J.D. Cavanah, Chad Cavanah, and Rick Nollmann.
