Nancy Burke Mansfield

Nancy Burke Mansfield, 85 of Owensboro, KY passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior, surrounded by her family. She was born, April 10, 1941, to James Buchanan Holder and Grace Brown Holder in McLean County, KY.

Nancy loved going to rummage sales, line dancing, traveling with her sisters and her best friend, Betty. Above all else she loved God and spending time with her family and friends and they all adored her.

She retired from Sitex and Henderson County Schools as a crossing guard. She attended United Methodist Church in Livermore, KY.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Jack Burke, who she was married to until his death on August 14, 1994. She later married Paul Mansfield until his death on December 12, 2005; daughter, Sheila Lingerfelt; sisters, Wanda Gray, Faye Free, Myrl Lawrence, Betty Spain Walker, Betty Gross, Lois Goforth and Alta Holder.

She is survived by her two sons, Keith Burke of Marion, KY and Scott (Ina) Burke of Marion, KY; Grandchildren, Shelly Bailey Kristy Smith, Chasity Vidal, Nina Smith, Nathan Burke, Ashley Jones, Cody Burke, Andrew Burke, Necole Nolan and Morgan Burke; several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be12:00 PM. Friday, April 17, 2026, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Pastor Jesse Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Smith Mills Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3:30 PM-8:00 PM, Thursday, April 16 and 10:00 AM until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Burke, Andrew Burke, Cody Burke, Kalon Kurtz, Joe Vidal and Nico Vidal.
