Nancy "Sue" O'Dell

Nancy “Sue” O’Dell, 86, of Newburgh, IN, formerly of Henderson, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at The Village at Hamilton Pointe.

She was born in Dixon on December 30, 1936 to the late Verlie and Susie (Sutton) Denton.

She worked in health care as a home health aid and loved crossword puzzles, bingo, reading, and sharing the Bible.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. O’Dell; son, Glenn Virgin Jr.; brother, Edgar Denton; and sisters, Beatrice Langston and Minnie Dixon.

She is survived by four children, Beverly Klima of Henderson, Mike Virgin (Mary) of Chandler, IN, Kathy Gaafar (Joe) of Indianapolis, IN and Keith O’Dell (Shelly) of Indianapolis, IN; three brothers, Jimmy Denton, Gene Denton, and Walter Denton (Mary Lou); five grandchildren, Carla Glackman (Grant), Carl Virgin (Katie), Jamie Morgan (Brandon), Mandy Daum (Chris), and Jesse Virgin (Mallory); and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Dave Mills officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 7 from 4-7 p.m. and on Wednesday, February 8 from 9 a.m. until service time.
