Nellie Irene "Dolly" Grossman

Nellie Irene “Dolly” Grossman, 89 of Henderson passed away peacefully at her home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice surrounded by her family. She was born April 15, 1929 in Henderson, KY to the late Wilfred B. and Maybelle (Butler) Mays.  Dolly was actively involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives. She had won several yard beautification awards in Henderson County, she loved working in her yard.  Refurbishing the old to make it look new again was something she enjoyed spending time doing. In additions to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter; Kathy Hatfield, one brother; Marion Mays and one sister; Vinna Bee Rettig. She is survived by her husband of 69 years; Benjamin Grossman, three children;  Charles Franklin Grossman, Deborah Grossman and Tina Grossman, two sisters; Dorothy Williams and Betty Williams, seven grandchildren; Anne Marie Grossman, Frances Rene` Martin, Charles Matthew Grossman, Shantel`-Simpson, Micah Dixon, Keylee Shea` Smith and Mason Cole Smith, nine great grandchildren. Services will be private.  Visitation will be 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.
