Nick Holzhauser

Nick L. Holzhauser 73, of Madisonville, formerly of Hanson, died on December 2, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Marion, IL. He was born on June 27, 1942 in Earlington, KY to the late Sam and Rosie (McGregor) Holzhauser. He was a retired coal miner, a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters. He is survived by his spouse, Linda Holzhauser of Madisonville, his daughter Sherry Knight of Hanson, 2 sisters, Evelyn Blackburn-Sandefur of Madisonville and Trudy (Larry) Parker of Hanson, 2 brothers, Melvin Holzhauser of Earlington and Albert Holzhauser of Hopkins County, 3 grandchildren Andrew Holzhauser, Hannah Knight, and Maddie Knight all of Hanson and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be at noon on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Brother Scott Casebier will officiate. Burial will be in Hanson Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 5-7 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until service time. Full military rites will be conducted by the Hopkins County Honor Guard.
