Norma Jean Varble

Norma Jean Varble, 79 of Henderson passed away March 22, 2015 at Methodist Hospital. She was born February 20, 1936 in Owensboro, KY to Ray and Margaret Harley. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She was famous for making homemade coconut pies and had worked at Spottsville Elementary School as a “Granny” where she loved her kids. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Homer Varble (2005), son Dennis Varble (1995), 2 brothers; Charles “Butch” Harley and Wavie Harley. She is survived by her son Rick Varble of Newburgh, IN Sister: Catherine Pennell of Wisconsin Life- long friend Ruth Thomason of Henderson 4 grandchildren 7 Great grandchildren Nieces and nephews Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday March 25 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Don Berry will officiate. Burial will be in Scherer Cemetery in Stanley, KY. Visitation will be 12:00 PM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
