Norma Jean Varble, 79 of Henderson passed away March 22, 2015 at Methodist Hospital. She was born February 20, 1936 in Owensboro, KY to Ray and Margaret Harley. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She was famous for making homemade coconut pies and had worked at Spottsville Elementary School as a “Granny” where she loved her kids. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Homer Varble (2005), son Dennis Varble (1995), 2 brothers; Charles “Butch” Harley and Wavie Harley. She is survived by her son Rick Varble of Newburgh, IN Sister: Catherine Pennell of Wisconsin Life- long friend Ruth Thomason of Henderson 4 grandchildren 7 Great grandchildren Nieces and nephews Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday March 25 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Don Berry will officiate. Burial will be in Scherer Cemetery in Stanley, KY. Visitation will be 12:00 PM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Lung Cancer Association.
