Patricia Ann Denton

Patricia Ann Denton passed away peacefully on April 21, 2021 after losing her fight with pancreatic cancer. Pat was born on May 8th, 1947 as the only child to Gilbert and Honor Mae Wright.  Pat was married to Bill Denton (who affectionately called her Trish) for 53 years during which time they raised two sons and helped raise two granddaughters. Pat was a well-loved former English teacher to many Hendersonians. She cherished the friendships from the different stages of her life, particularly enjoying her “Lunch Bunch” group as well as the friends brought together by Community Baptist Church.  She was an avid Kentucky basketball fan who spent thousands of hours cheering on the Wildcats in person and from home. Pat is survived by her husband William David “Bill” Denton, sons David (Lara) and Chad (Stacy) and granddaughters Maeve and Meredith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Honor Mae and Gilbert Wright. Graveside service for family and close friends will be on Monday, April 26th at 11 am at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to St. Anthony’s Hospice or Community Baptist Church. Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
