Patricia "Patty" Ann Ligon

Patricia “Patty” Ann Ligon, 88 of Henderson passed away March 29, 2024, at Lucy Smith King Care Center.

She was born September 23, 1935, in Henderson Co. KY to the late Owen and Ruth Thompson.

Patricia was a loving mother and great cook who worked as a secretary at Immanuel Baptist Temple (IBT) for 52 years until she retired. She and Hugh lived in Henderson Co., KY all of their lives. Patricia was a Christian woman and an active member at New Hope Baptist Church for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Ellis Ligon; sister, Martha Lou Reed.

She is survived by her two children Brian E. Ligon and wife Lisa of Reed, KY and Susan (Ligon) Spainhoward and her husband David Spainhoward of Spottsville; brother, Owen Eugene Thompson and wife Faye of Casper, Wyoming; three grandchildren, Mark Spainhoward and wife Brandy, Cari Chrostowski and husband Chris, Callie Hope and husband Matt; six great grandchildren; two sisters in law and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday April 2, 2024, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Bro. Paul Davis and Bro. Hal Branson officiating.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time Tuesday at the funeral Home.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Mark Spainhoward, Chris Chrostowski, Matt Hope, Lynn Ligon, Robbie Reed and Terry Duncan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Ligon and Darrel Skaggs.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to New Hope Baptist Church or St. Anthony’s Hospice.
